[GET-INSPIRED] 12 Challenges to Change Your Life in 2017

I’m thinking about the importance of all the experiences a human being can have. I’m thinking about the importance of each experience for mental, emotional, spiritual and physical development.

And I realized that each experience is truly important, with different and unique benefits.

The more challenging the experiences are, the more impact their results will have over the evolutionary process. Therefore, let your lifestyle be challenged by 2017.

What I’m Going To Do?

I want that my 2017 to be a great year.

For each month of the following year, I set myself a challenge. The purpose is to achieve the objective of every challenge and learn new things. If you want to, you can “borrow” my list of challenges and implement it into your lifestyle.

January 2017 – 31 Days with 3 Mins of Cold Showers

Probably, the 1st of January will be a lazy day for most of you out there. For me, it will start with a cold shower and will continue with the same cold showers until the last day of January.

What to achieve – spontaneous waking up and cold resistance
What to invest – 3 mins, under cold showers
Schedule – waking up every morning at 6:30; showering starts with 7:00

PS: In the last week I will double the challenge and will stay 6 mins under the cold shower.

PPS: The cold showers, just like that, aren’t fun, so right after each shower I’ll go for a 3 km run.

Expected results for January: 114 mins under the cold showers and 93 km run.

February 2017 – 28 Days with 10 km Runs

I hate cold weather and, more than that, I hate running during cold weather. In the last two years, I stopped my training schedule during winter. This time I think I should change something.

What to achieve – tone my muscles and increase my resistance to cold weather
What to invest – somewhere between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 mins
Schedule – waking up every morning at 6:30; running starts with 7:00

PS: In the last week I will double the challenge and run 20 km.

PPS: I’ll continue the cold showers from January, doing 3 mins of cold showers after each run.

Expected results for February: 350 km run and 84 mins under cold showers.

March 2017 – 31 Days with 2 Hours of Reading Books in English

English is not my first language. Though I’m reading a lot, I’m not reading every day. There are days when I read 2 to 3 hours, but there are days when I’m not reading at all. Of course, I’m reading articles every day, but the information found in articles is not as in depth as the information found in books.

What to achieve – a better control over the English vocabulary
What to invest – two hours
Schedule – waking up every morning at 6:30; reading starts with 7:00

PS: In the last week I will double the challenge and will read 4 hours.

Expected results for March: 76 hours of reading books in English.

September 2017 – 30 Days with Two Hours of Drawing

I literally suck at drawing and, for me, this will be a really nice challenge.

November 2017 – 30 Days with Pomodoro

Pomodoro is a technique for efficiency. It helps people to remove multi-tasking and focus on one single task, using small time intervals.

What to achieve – learn to focus better on my tasks
What to invest – energy and attention into the pomodoro technique

Expected results for November: clarity and understanding over the time invested in my tasks.

December 2017 – 31 Days with 200 Push-ups

Another activity that’s related to sports. And I love it. I think I’ll do 10 series of 20 pushups each.

What to achieve – toned body
What to invest – one-two hours every day

PS: In the last day, on 31st December, I will take a break from all the challenges. It’s Gratification time.

PPS: In the last week I will double the challenge and will do 400 pushups.

Expected results for December: 7400 pushups

Final Purpose

Each month has an activity that can be intensively experienced. I want to discover them all and keep some in my lifestyle after I’m done with the challenges.

Maybe you think I’m crazy. Well, I think that too, but that’s not a bad think. I really think this whole madness will change my life in a way I can’t even imagine.

Looking forward to seeing 2017.
